Samithi stage protest, seek Medchal Metro

Hyderabad: Medchal Metro Sadhana Samithi staged a silent protest at Suchitra on Sunday, demanding metro connectivity to the northern part of the city.
Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender and Quthbullapur MLA KP Vivekanand also participated in the protest. Vivekanand and samithi members were seen carrying placards with slogans like ‘We want Medchal metro.'
Stating that while the entire city is enjoying metro services, key areas like Suchitra, Kompally, Medchal, Karkhana, Tirumalagiri, Alwal and Shamirpet have been left out, the Samithi said this is an unfair treatment by the state govt.Residents of several colonies in the Quthbullapur assembly constituency formed samithi to press for metro connectivity to their area.
Earlier, the MLA and Samithi members met Hyderabad Metro Rail MD NVS Reddy and submitted a representation of their demand.
