4 Ayushman Arogya Mandir in city secure NQAS approval

4 Ayushman Arogya Mandir in city secure NQAS approval
Kanpur: The National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) has certified Ayushman Arogya Mandir Prempur for its exceptional facilities at the community level. With this certification, the total number of NQAS-certified Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in the city has risen to four. According to the health department, Prempur has achieved the highest scores among all the certified centres.
Chief medical officer Dr Alok Ranjan said that the addition of Prempur Ayushman Arogya Mandir from Sarsaul block has increased the count of NQAS-certified Ayushman health temples (Arogya Mandirs) in the district to four.
Prior to this, Baghdaudi Kachhar and Hora Kachhar of Kalyanpur block, along with Benda Ayushman Arogya Mandir of Ghatampur block, had also received certification.
The CMO said that currently, 259 active Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in the district are delivering primary health services to the community. These centres offer a range of services, including disease screening, teleconsultation with doctors, provision of medicines, maternal and child health check-ups, screening for non-communicable diseases, and prevention of communicable diseases. He highlighted the crucial role these centres play in ensuring the health of the population, with their NQAS certification serving as a testament to the quality of services provided. Nodal officer Ramit Rastogi said that the information regarding NQAS certification was communicated through a letter issued by Pinky Joval, director of the National Health System Resource Centre. Prempur Ayushman Arogya Mandir of Sarsaul block had achieved an impressive 96.44 percent score during its national-level evaluation conducted in August this year. He said that 75 percent of the award received by the centre would be allocated towards implementing measures to enhance the quality of services offered at the hospital.
