City logs in 61 new dengue cases
Lucknow: The city reported 61 new dengue cases on Sunday, bringing the total count to 779 since Jan. Additionally, 425 malaria cases have been recorded during the same period.
Among those diagnosed with dengue, 27 individuals have been admitted to various hospitals due to high fever, weakness, and low platelet counts. According to the health department, their condition is currently stable.

The newly reported dengue cases were found in areas under the jurisdiction of community healthcare centres in Indiranagar (8), Aliganj (8), Chandernagar (7), N.K. Road (7), Silver Jubilee (7), Tudiyaganj (4), BKT (4), Red Cross (3), Chinhat (3), Gosainganj (3), Aishbagh (3), Itaunja (2), and Sarojininagar (2). In addition, 4 new malaria cases were reported from Chandernagar (2), Aliganj (1), and N.K. Road (1).
In an ongoing survey conducted by the health department, approximately 1,400 houses and surrounding areas were inspected for mosquito-breeding conditions. Notices were issued to 12 houses where such conditions were found.
To combat the spread of mosquito-borne diseases, teams from the Municipal Malaria Unit and the District Malaria Officer have been inspecting various locations and buildings across the district and conducting larvicidal spraying to control mosquito breeding.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Manoj Agrawal urged the public to take necessary precautions against mosquito bites and cooperate in maintaining cleanliness to prevent the spread of dengue and malaria.
