Naveen Patnaik’s allegation that
BJP won the election by making false promises to the people.
“BJP has grown from two MPs to become the largest political party in the world. Some people in
Odisha used to call us a ‘signboard’ party.
People have blessed us to serve them,” he said.
“Let people serve in the roles they have been assigned. Those who have been given the responsibility of being in the opposition should fulfil that duty,” the minister said.
On Oct 2, BJD president Naveen had said that BJP had won the election by making tall promises, lied to people and was busy in only changing names of schemes.
Attending a BJP membership drive programme, Dharmendra said trust in BJP is increasing among all sections of people, including the poor, women, farmers and youth, leading to more young people joining the party. Stating that due to public support, BJP has formed govt in the state, Dharmendra reminded party workers that they need to win the trust of people so that it can serve them for long years, ensuing a developed Odisha by its centenary year in 2036, contributing to a developed India by 2047.
Attending a Nijukti Mela (recruitment drive) with chief minister Mohan Majhi, Dharmendra said the govt is working 24x7 to realise people’s aspirations, fulfil poll promises and achieve the goal of Viksit Odisha by 2036. Appointment letters were handed over to more than 16,000 newly-inducted teachers during the event.
Dharmendra also took part in a plantation and ‘cleanliness is service’ initiative. “Cleanliness drives are no longer confined to govt arrangements. As the Swachh Bharat Mission completes 10 years, people of all ages and our party workers have participated in cleanliness efforts, paying a fitting tribute to Mahatma Gandhi,” he said.
