Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina Starrer Jigra Receives U/A Certificate; Set for Dussehra Release

The much-anticipated film Jigra, starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, is all set to release on October 11, 2024, just in time for the Dussehra weekend. Directed by Vasan Bala, the film has already created quite a buzz with its trailer and songs. Recently, it was revealed that the movie has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), with a runtime of 155 minutes (2 hours and 35 minutes), according to the CBFC website.

On October 3, the makers released a soulful new track titled Tenu Sang Rakhna, composed by Achint Thakkar with lyrics by Varun Grover. The song, sung by Arijit Singh, Anumita Nadesan, and Thakkar, has been hailed as the “heart and soul” of the movie. The music video beautifully captures the bond between a brother and sister, with Bhatt’s character, Satya, journeying to a foreign country to rescue her brother, Ankur, played by Raina, who is imprisoned there.

Earlier, the upbeat and inspirational track Chal Kudiye, sung by Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh, was also released. Additionally, Vedang Raina’s version of Phoolon Ka Taaro Ka was shared along with the teaser trailer.

Jigra marks Alia Bhatt’s second home production after Darlings (2022), and it will clash with Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri.
