Jennifer Aniston opens up about aftermath of Oil Splash Photos from The Morning Show set

Jennifer Aniston recently cleared the air after viral photographs of her drenched in oil from The Morning Show sparked misunderstanding and alarm among fans. The actress addressed the issue during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on October 2, explaining that the images were part of a scene for the show and not a real-life incident.

Aniston took advantage of the chance to clarify the situation and address more rumours about her that had surfaced in the media. The confusion began in July, when images emerged of Aniston’s character, Alex Levy, splattered in oil during filming a protest scene for The Morning Show’s upcoming season. The photographs rapidly went viral, with some incorrectly believing Aniston had been splattered with oil in real life. This prompted a surge of alarm among her followers and loved ones.

Aniston told Jimmy Kimmel about how overwhelming the response was, as she got countless texts from concerned friends and family. She recalled, “I was getting endless texts [asking], ‘Are you okay? What happened to you? This is awful”. The actress noted that many of these frightened folks were mislead by tabloid headlines that failed to establish the photographs’ context as being from the performance. During her visit on the talk show, Kimmel displayed the viral photo of Aniston drenched in oil and asked her to explain what had happened. “You, or your character, got sprayed with oil… “It seemed like someone did this to you,” Kimmel said.

Aniston shrugged it off, adding that the encounter was entirely fabricated and part of The Morning Show. She recounted how tabloid publications twisted the events, leading people to believe she had been targeted in real life. She claimed that the tabloids reported something that happened in the context of the show as if it had occurred in real life. Behind the scenes, however, the tone was much lighter. On August 4, Aniston shared a behind-the-scenes shot on Instagram, showing her smiling and sitting in a director’s chair while still covered in the black liquid from the sequence. She playfully captioned the image, “I ❤️ NY.

During her Jimmy Kimmel Live interview, Aniston addressed other ridiculous tabloid rumours, as well as clearing up the oil splash issue. One of the more eye-catching headlines included a fake report about Aniston’s alleged love involvement with former President Barack Obama.
