Daily: Shenk for mayor

I am writing to strongly endorse Alyssa Shenk for Mayor of Snowmass Village. Although I am not a resident of Snowmass Village and therefore cannot vote, I felt compelled to share my thoughts on Alyssa’s remarkable leadership, insight, and thoughtfulness, both personally and professionally.

Alyssa and I work together at Pathfinders, a local nonprofit serving the valley. As the executive director, I can confidently say that I can only fulfill my role with integrity due to her unwavering support and guidance. In many ways, she is my brain and the glue that holds our organization together. When tragedy strikes, and I must be present with clients, she steps in and organizes, so that Pathfinders can continue serving effectively. Her leadership isn’t just about making decisions; it’s about ensuring every aspect of our work runs smoothly. Beyond that, she is my emotional support and trusted friend.

Snowmass Village is fortunate to have two qualified candidates running for mayor. While I hold Bill Madsen in high regard and recognize his contributions to the community, my close knowledge of Alyssa’s skills and personal integrity makes me confident in her leadership. She leads with her heart, mind, and intuition in equal measure. Snowmass Village would be truly fortunate to have her as the next mayor.
