Park Ji Ah passes away at 52: Song Hye Kyo and cast of ‘The Glory’ confers heartfelt tribute

On September 30, Park Ji Ah, the actress from The Glory, passed away from a cerebral infarction. The late actress received condolences from Glory actors Song Hye Kyo, Park Sung Hoon, and others. They would also be present during the funeral, scheduled on October 2.

Song Hye Kyo expressed her sympathies to the late actress Park Ji Ah by sending funeral flowers and a wreath. According to OSEN, Park Sung Hoon, Jung Sung-il, Kim Hieora, and Kim Gun-woo, who costarred with the actress in The Glory, would be attending the burial on October 2 and honoring her.

The agency, BILLIONS verified that she passed away at 2:50 am KST. The agency expressed their sorrow and said they will never forget the late Park Ji Ah’s love and devotion towards acting, which she pursued until the very end. The mortuary has been setup in Room 2 of the Asan Medical Center in Seoul. The coffin will be closed on October 2, at 10:00 AM KST.

After earning an associate’s degree in theater from Seoul Institute of the Arts, Park Ji Ah debuted as an actor in 2002. She debuted with The Coast Guard and thereafter she had cameos in movies like Oh! LaLa Sisters and Bus Stop.

The actress is well-known for her roles in a number of dramas, including Judge Vs. Judge, Bloody Heart, and Cleaning Up. Her most well-known role was in The Glory as Son Hye Kyo’s vile mother. The last time the actress was seen was in the 2024 movie Hijacking 1971. Park Ji Ah has worked on films such as Girl on the Edge, Rampant, Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum, and Three Closet.
