PS5/PS5 Pro or a regular gaming PC with 7800x3d/4070 Ti Super?

As stupid as it sounds but here it goes.

I already own a PC with 7800x3d/4070 ti Super. This was primarily for my elder brother for playing some FPS games and a little work here and there.
With the new PS5 Pro he is planning to buy a console preferably PS5/PRO and buy a 40/50" 4K TV to pair it with. My question is, will he get a 60FPS or more when in performance mode out of the console? I really doubt it will but I could be wrong.

Second question is, can we get a PC connected to TV and get some controllers and whatnot and mimic the console gaming? He just wants a bigger screen (he doesn't have a big desk to accommodate a monitor) and a controller instead of keyboard to play games.
 
Even if they launch ps6 tomorrow, I doubt it'll be able to run their own exclusive AAA games @ native 4k 60 fps.

Yes you can.
 
I have my PC connected to my LG C3 48" TV via a 5m HDMI cable, so unless space is a constraint near where you have your PC, just connect TV to the PC. You still need a separate table to keep a monitor with KB & mouse for PC as PCs aren't easy to use with controller. I am sure someone might have made some custom interface for Windows controllable via a controller, you might have to look for it.

That PC is superior to PS5 pro in every way except maybe ease of use & size. Size aspect is kind of solvable with a compact mATX case without too much investment.
 
The joy of a gaming console is you just turn it on and play, no graphics settings to mess with, they are already optimized to what the console can do. You buy gaming console to actually play the game, not to see the graphics settings and compare with PC. You won't have to worry about whether the upcoming game will run on your console or not, if your console is listed it will run just fine. It minimizes the steps to actually getting the game to be played.

The fact that with console you will be able to play the GTA VI on launch day, this alone is worthy enough to get the console, otherwise by the time you wait for it to launch on the PC, all the spoilers will be out and unavoidable.

You can get it to work, but it will be ugly when compared to just turning on the console, going to couch and hit play on controller.
My opinion just buy the console. Enjoy the other side for a while by turning off that always-on fps counter in the brain.
