Australia's apparel and clothing accessories imports surged by 14.68 per cent to $1.148 billion in July 2024 compared to July 2023, reflecting strong economic conditions.
However, imports slowed in fiscal 2023-24, declining by 5.2 per cent from the previous fiscal.
Textile yarn and fabric imports also saw a 16.81 per cent increase in July 2024.
