Duleep Trophy LIVE Score, Day 4: KL Rahul, Dube at crease; India A 94/5, needs 181 to win; India C beats India D

Rahul and Dube have stabilised a little for India A, but they need runs at a brisk pace if they want to stay in the hunt in this match. 181 runs needed.

Shivam Dube is the new batter in at number six. KL Rahul holds the key for India A in this match. 

Mukesh Kumar strikes straight after lunch! Tanush Kotian played a loose shot away from the body off the first delivery he faced after lunch and nicked it behind to keeper Rishabh Pant. Kotian goes for a 2-ball duck. India A five down for 76. 

Lunch has been taken. India B at advantage here with four wickets. However, there has been a conscious effort by India A to keep the intent going to go for the chase. Rahul is at crease with Tanush Kotian. 

A golden duck for Jurel! Yash Dayal induces an edge and a good catch at gully. Eight wickets in this session already. 

Navdeep Saini once again gets Gill out in this match. This time he’s caught behind. Energy is high in the India A camp. 

Shubman Gill was dropped by Nithish Reddy off Navdeep Saini in the slips. The intent has still been positive though. KL Rahul is the new batter in and has scored 10 off 17 so far. 

Yash Dayal comes around the wicket and the tactic works! Parag gets a faint edge to the keeper. Dayal is ecstatic and gives a send off as well! Parag was looking dangerous, so a much needed wicket for India A. Parag out for 31 off 18. 

Parag with another pull shot for a six off just his 11th ball of the innings. India A is looking very positive with the intent to chase the target. 

Looks like India A is going for it. 23 runs in three overs. Parag smacked a beautiful six, a short-arm jab, off Mukesh Kumar that suggests the intent of the team. 

An early breakthrough for India B as opener Mayank Agarwal is caught at slips. Yash Dayal strikes. A good diving catch. Umpires had to double check it before confirming the dismissal. 

Interesting chase ahead. Will India A try to go for it, or will it look to defend the rest of the day? 

Shubman Gill begins with a four off the first ball. 

Khaleel Ahmed takes the final wicket of the innings. Yash Dayal is out for 16. India A needs 275 runs to win. 

Five-wicket haul for Akash Deep. Navdeep Saini is caught behind. That’s seventh catch for Dhruv Jurel as well in this innings. 

Akash Deep strikes once again! Seamed into the left hander, a huge gap between bat and pad and the ball uproots the off stump. 

Akash Deep just took 10 deliveries to make an early breakthrough this morning. A seam-up delivery outside off, Sai Kishore nudged it and Dhruv Jurel’s safe hands were enough to undone the batter. 

Kishore goes back with a no score. In comes Navdeep Saini at no. 9. 

Sai Kishore and Washington Sundar walk out in the middle. Khaleel will continue his over. 

India B will head into the final day of its Duleep Trophy encounter against India A holding an ever-so-slight upper hand after it took a 240-run lead by stumps on day three at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Saturday.

After dismissing India A for 231 — an addition of just 97 runs to the overnight score of 134 for two — India B built on the 90-run first-innings lead, courtesy some manic hitting from Sarfaraz Khan (46, 36b, 7x4, 1x6) and Rishabh Pant (61, 47b, 9x4, 2x6).

By Stumps, it had reached 150 for six, with Nitish Reddy’s dismissal ushering the end of the day’s play.
