Paussa: What about yourself, Joe?

Joe DiSalvo’s recent letter to the editor made me laugh so hard I spit coffee all over the paper. He signed it, “Retired.” Pitkin County voters fired him.

It seems like every election cycle we read complaints about the cost of candidates visiting Aspen. Of all the invoices Joe sent out, seemingly saving taxpayers millions, almost zero were actually paid.

We know Joe doesn’t like our sheriff and he made the transition awkward and difficult but he needs to let it go. If he weren’t so pathetically petty he just might be sheriff today.
