this is the surfshark starter vpn paid version costs 4200 for a year, it has no limitations on sharing among devices, so kinda unlimited but I will be sharing it with max 5 people.

 
Does it have port forwarding and Indian servers?
 
The starter plan is around 59.13 which is 4938 for 27 months. I think it is pretty reasonable if we can share with 5 more people. I am open for one of the slots

I was looking for Mullavad slot but surfshark is fine with me as well as I am just looking for some basic VPN .

You still haven't provided clear details here. So I am going to put forwards some questions, hope you will answer them because few members here seem to be interested and I don't want people to get mislead and cause a chaos later.

1. You seem to be referring to the 1 year plan (Surfshark Starter), When did you take the subscription and How many months are left?
2. As per official site the plan cost 41.85 USD which roughly translates to 3496 INR, The price you stated does not seem to make sense.
3. The starter pack provides additional 3 months subscription so its 12+3 = 15 months. You haven't mentioned any of this in your thread. Kindly elaborate your offering.
4. Does Sharksharp portal provide visibility to check how many devices are connected and using the VPN service. I understand you mentioned that you would be sharing with 5 people max. But what if you decide to pool in more people from here or elsewhere. Transparency is the key here specially in a community like Techenclave. So please provide more details.

Suggestion - If you haven't taken any subscription I would suggest you get the 24+3 months subscription at 59.13USD and list down the other 4 users who you would be sharing the plan for transparency.
Hence it would be 11.8 USD per head or 985 INR for 27 months.

yes its surfshark starter plan.

got the amount messed up its rs 3663 + dcc[1%] + gst charges[igst] adds to 3850 I assume

i am using adguard vpn. have you tested them both?
 
For what it is worth, I have been using Surfshark since 2020 but the quality has dropped quite a lot.

I mainly use it to pass geo restrictions but it can no longer bypass iPlayer. Also it struggles a lot with buffering when using with itv player even though I am on a 500 Mbps connection. It also a captcha trigger now on every website, as they probably use common servers.

I guess it is mainly because they have been relegated to the value option since merging with Nord, although it is not as such when purchasing in India.

Also, I never shared my account with anyone from a privacy perspective but it sure keeps logging devices off every now and then, which I believe will be much more prevalent when sharing.

Not sure if it is any better now compared to the cheaper VPN providers.

It displays the device name, type and when last active. Even if the device count is unlimited, they do keep logging devices off which I assume is based on the number of concurrent active devices.
