Veazy III: Hollywood flies to Aspen, Pitkin County banks

As the Pitkin County oligarchs, the various local government bureaucrats, the Aspen Chamber Resort Association wheeler-dealers, the ever-present dirt pimps, the luxury brands, the Aspen Skiing Company, and others — including the show-off visiting and conspicuous consumption nouveau riche versus the Pitkin County area rebellious Young Turks; legacy nostalgia folk; people in Burbank, California, and elsewhere; and even me about the doings and plans about the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) — let’s all agree no one and no thing is an island, which may positively and negatively not affect other people’s lives and other distant political economies for better or worse.

Interrelationships are wise to respectfully consider and agreeably negotiate for mutual benefit. Why be selfish and uncaring toward others, don’t you agree? I championed such a beneficial approach for years.

For the nonce, let’s disrupt and offset your various synthetic group-think conformities and your phantom pregnant visions which even the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and commercial banking economists cannot guess about or see in their foggy crystal balls.

ASE’s air traffic mainly comes from airways (United, American, and Delta) and mucho private and corporate jets flying in and out of the airport. The metal birds fly from ASE, to Denver, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Los Angeles, Chicago-O’Hare, Houston, San Francisco, Austin, Atlanta, and Phoenix-Sky Harbor. Even Donald Trump, Sr.’s corporate jet business may still jet in and out of ASE.

Keep in mind that from Los Angeles County, many private and corporate jets zoom out of the San Fernando Valley to Aspen with Hollywood honchos, celebrities, and their influential friends inflight sipping champagne and eating caviar. The frequent launch-flight sites are the Hollywood Burbank Airport (once called Bob Hope Airport and other names over the years) and the Van Nuys Airport.

The cities of Burbank, Glendale, and Pasadena have nine commissioners on the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority, which oversees the Hollywood Burbank Airport where Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros. Discovery and a host of major television and film production companies are located.

The San Fernando Valley is part of the City of Los Angeles where the Van Nuys Airport operates. The 20-member Van Nuys Airport Citizens Advisory Council, which is appointed by the Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners, oversees this airport owned by Los Angeles World Airports which also owns Los Angeles International Airport.

I recommend you reach out in person and through the mass media, news media, and social media to the residents and the various communities throughout America, which your airport affairs influence. But, for now, begin with San Fernando Valley in California since Beverly Hills and Burbank are super important in show business worldwide, and Pitkin County’s revenue generation and star power.
