Thunderbolts: The Movie Aug. 30, 2024

Control and Alan Wake TV & Movies Coming From Annapurna & Remedy - IGN The Fix: Entertainment

Video game adaptations are nothing new in Hollywood, and it looks like Annapurna is teaming up with Remedy to bring us deeper into the world of Control and Alan Wake. The media house will develop and produce content based on both games for film, tv and audiovisual formats - so it’ll be a transmedia production for both Alan Wake and Control. CEO of Remedy had this to say on the partnership, “In Annapurna, we have found an outstanding partner who shares our ambition and passion for immersive storytelling. We are excited to see them bring the universes and characters we have created to life in new mediums, thanks to this unique deal.” You might remember last year it was announced that Annapurna was hard at work adapting its post-apocalyptic, cyberpunk animal tale Stray into a full-fledged movie. That’s still in production. Not much else is known about the upcoming film, other than it’ll be animated. Should be interesting to see how this interconnected Remedy universe comes alive in new mediums - definitely should be easy for them to adapt Alan Wake into a live-action movie or series, considering how much live-action Remedy utilizes in its games.
