Foster: Yes, there is a conflict of interest

Now I get Aspen City Council member Bill Guth’s opposition to the Preferred Alternative. Bill owns property that might be affected by the (PA) straight shot. City attorney James True said there is no conflict of interest for Bill because he would not receive any monetary gain. You have got to be kidding me — this screams conflict of interest. Maybe Bill is afraid he’ll hear traffic noise and smell car exhaust like the residents on Main Street. Sounds to me like a self-serving conflict of interest. Guth is only looking out for himself and not the residents of Aspen. I wondered about Guth when he refused to take any of the traditional board seats new City Council members are assigned. Way to go, Bill, showing your true colors again. In the words of “Game of Thrones” sshhaamme, shhaamme, shhaamme.
