Kumaresh Pattabiraman has been appointed Country Manager and Product Head at LinkedIn India. He has been with LinkedIn for the past 11 years, previously serving as Senior Director overseeing Product, Feed, Search, and Generative AI products.
He announced his elevation in a LinkedIn post, stating: “I am excited to take on the role of Country Manager and Product Head at LinkedIn India.
“With over 135 million members, India stands as LinkedIn’s second-largest and fastest-growing market – a testament to the engagement and potential here. LinkedIn has evolved from being just a jobs platform to becoming a dynamic global community where professionals connect for jobs, learning, networking, and knowledge sharing.
“I’ve also seen firsthand the incredible innovation that can come from India. Having started my career as an engineer in Bangalore and built teams in India across LinkedIn and Microsoft, I can say that the energy, ambition, and potential of Indian talent, especially in R&D, are unparalleled. India is among the top five countries with the fastest-growing AI talent and has the highest AI skill penetration globally, with our members using AI skills 3x more frequently than the global average. This puts India at the forefront of the future of work, and sets us up brilliantly to build in India for the world.

Before joining LinkedIn, Pattabiraman worked at organizations such as lichess.org, Microsoft Corporation, Citadel Investment Group, and Google, with a career break in between.
