Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu attended the 100th anniversary celebration of Jogindra Cooperative Bank in Solan on Tuesday evening. During the event, he unveiled the bank’s new logo and inaugurated its new building, which cost Rs 7.50 crore to construct.

The Chief Minister congratulated the bank’s management and staff for reaching a turnover of Rs. 2,000 crore, emphasizing that employees are the backbone of any institution.

He praised the bank’s reduction of non-performing assets (NPA) from eight percent to three percent and highlighted the increase in deposits to Rs. 1,400 crore.

However, he suggested improvements in the bank’s one-time settlement policy and stressed the need to reward high-performing branches.

Bank Chairman Mukesh Sharma welcomed the Chief Minister and outlined the bank’s activities, noting that its 33 branches offer low-interest loans and are focused on expanding services.

The bank also presented a cheque of Rs. 15 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and Rs. 11 lakh for the Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashray Kosh during the event.
