Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 10:24AM

The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(up 7.87%), National Fertilizers Ltd.(up 6.97%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 6.05%), Rama Phosphates Ltd.(up 4.52%), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(up 4.36%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(up 4.34%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(up 3.96%), Agro Phos India Ltd.(up 3.82%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 3.00%) and Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(up 2.81%) were among the top gainers.

Sikko Industries Ltd.(down 3.17%) and Aries Agro Ltd.(down 1.79%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 40.96 points up at 24811.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 128.21 points at 81033.51 at around 10:24AM.

Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.46%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 2.14%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 1.46%), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 1.14%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 0.64%), Infosys Ltd.(up 0.6%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 0.57%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 0.56%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.56%) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.52%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.74%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.0%), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.85%), NTPC Ltd.(down 0.81%), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.73%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.6%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.51%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 0.46%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.42%) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 0.37%) were trading in the red.
