Tata Power shares rise 0.38% as Sensex climbs

Shares of the Tata Power Company Ltd. traded at Rs 420.4 on BSE at 12:43PM (IST) on Tuesday, up 0.38 per cent from previous close.

The scrip quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 230.05 and a high of Rs 470.85.

Earlier, the stock saw a gap down opening in the morning.

A total of 230,729 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 12:43PM (IST).

The stock of Tata Power Company Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 133565.19 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 36.15, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 3.89. Return on equity (ROE) was at 11.42 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 286 stocks traded in the green, while 214 stocks were in the red.

Promotor Holding
Promoters held 46.86 per cent in the Tata Power Company Ltd. as of 30-Jun-2024 while overseas and domestic institutional investors owned 9.5 per cent and 15.38 per cent, respectively.
