Monitors Dell 27 ultra sharp not getting detected on windows pc

Hello guys got a new dell 27 ultra sharp thunderbolt monitor to connect to my pc config 10400 i5 tried with hdmi dp direct the motherboard no signal detected do i need a gpu for display since its a 2k display or normal motherboard supports 27 inch monitor
Need help
 
Did you test the monitor with a laptop or any other device ?
 
Please share the cable and mobo details. Did Dell provide cable and are you using any adapter to convert hdmi to DP?

We have same displays in office and my previous laptop could connect and that was powered by a dual core 8th gen shitty ulp cpu.

i5 10400 16 gb ram gigabyte b460 m, got the following cables dp, thunderbolt, not using any adapter
 
If you have another display, connect and install drivers to Windows for your Dell Ultrasharp display.
If the cable you are using is not one that came with Dell package, please verify if it supports 2K resolution. These are the two culprits in most cases.
Your mobo indeed support HDMI 1.4 and HDCP 2.3 so this is not a problem.
Worst case, see if you can borrow someones laptop and connect to that.
 
Thanks guys checked it on my friends laptop via hdmi it worked, finally installed drivers on my system and it works now a need a good hdmi cable any suggestions bluerigger is available on flipkart for 599/- locally getting honeywell for 800./- and mx for 350/- m confused now

I have blierigger hdmi cable for my 2K display. Been 4 years and no issues so far.
