Japan's United Arrows' sales surge 10.4% in Q1 FY25

United Arrows Ltd, a leading Japanese clothing brand, has reported total sales of ¥35.495 billion (approximately $240.7 billion) for the first quarter of fiscal 2025 (Q1 FY25), reflecting a year-on-year (YoY) increase of 10.4 per cent compared to the same period last year, where total sales stood at ¥32.155 billion, a rise of 8.4 per cent YoY.

Operating profit for Q1 FY25 was ¥2.768 billion, representing a 10.6 per cent YoY increase from the previous year's Q1 figure of ¥2.502 billion, which had marked a 35 per cent YoY increase. Ordinary profit also saw growth, reaching ¥2.999 billion, up 8.4 per cent YoY, compared to ¥2.766 billion in Q1 FY24, which had grown by 32.2 per cent YoY, the company said in a media release.

However, net income attributable to owners of the parent company slightly decreased by 2.0 per cent YoY, amounting to ¥1.763 billion, down from ¥1.798 billion in the same quarter of the previous year, which had seen a significant 35.9 per cent YoY increase.

The company also reported net income per share for the quarter at ¥63.90, compared to ¥63.48 in the same period last year.
