Satyam Trivedi has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GMR Sports. Prior to this role, he served as Deputy CEO and Executive Director at RPSG Sports.
Trivedi shared his enthusiasm for the new position in a LinkedIn post, saying: “Excited to step onto the pitch as the new skipper of GMR Sports! Having shared the field with many of the teammates before, it’s fantastic to see familiar faces around!
“Thrilled for the opportunity to work alongside the promoter family, whose grace and genuine warmth have always bowled me over. Their sportsmanship and vision are a winning combination,” Trivedi added.
Welcoming Trivedi onboard, GMR Sports stated in a LinkedIn post: “Satyam brings extensive expertise in managing marquee sports properties like ILT20, IPL, WPL, and SA20. With his rich experience in revenue growth, brand building, and sports operations, he’ll lead our established portfolio including Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Legends League, and ILT20.
“A portfolio that has gone onwards and upwards under the able stewardship of PKSV Sagar, who will continue to lead the expansion of the new sports business portfolio going forward.
“Here’s to new heights in GMR Sports,” the company added.
Before his tenure at RPSG, Trivedi was Head of Adani Sportsline for more than 12 years, from June 2011 to October 2023. He also spent more than seven years as a Partner at CANARY, from March 2004 to May 2011.
