Inspired by a deep love for Aspen, the idea for Watch Week Aspen emerged from a desire to foster collaboration and community spirit, which are at the heart of Aspen’s ethos, according to a press release from Elizabeth Smith, managing director of Oliver Smith Jeweler and founder of the inaugural Watch Week Aspen, which runs now through Aug. 11.
Recognizing the presence of prominent watch brands and retailers already established in the area, the press release states, the event is set to offer a distinctive combination of exclusive watch experiences, outdoor pursuits, and vibrant nightlife, all against the magical backdrop of Aspen’s summer.
Watch Week Aspen, according to the press release, promises to be an unforgettable experience for both seasoned collectors and those simply curious to learn more.
As Eliza Voss, vice president of Destination Marketing for the Aspen Chamber of Commerce, notes, “Aspen is filled with innovators, and we love that our business community collaborated to create Watch Week, which emphasizes camaraderie and fostering connections.” We look forward to this event in August.”
The roster of participating brands and retailers already includes: A. Lange & Söhne, Bremont, IWC, Meridian Jewelers, Parmigiani Fleurier, Panerai, and Oliver Smith Jeweler, with many more expected to join as the event draws near.
“For us, as co-founders of Watch Week Aspen, we hope the event will encapsulate our family’s passion for the outdoors, which inspired Oliver Smith’s design of the Cairn Collection,” Smith said in the press release. “It’s the watches, it’s Aspen, and the love of the Smith family for this very special place on earth; bringing it all together and making it a destination in August for people to come and discover together.”
More information, registration for the event’s program, and updates can be found at watchweekaspen.com, as space may be limited for some events.
“Watch Week Aspen 2024,” said Mayor Torre in the press release, “is an exciting retail and community event that welcomes residents and visitors, highlights our local shops and world-class brands, and adds to an amazing summer in Aspen.”
