Samsung was expected to release the first One UI 7.0 beta update at the end of July, but it was delayed due to bugs. We reported that Samsung was planning to release the update in late August. However, it seems the company has indefinitely delayed the release of the One UI 7.0 beta update.

One UI 7.0 beta update release delayed indefinitely

One UI 7.0 beta update was expected to be released to the Galaxy S24 series this month in a few countries, but it is being reported that the release has been delayed again. Tipster Ice Universe already said, “There are still no plans to launch it in the near future.” Now, tipster @chunvn8888 has claimed the One UI 7.0 beta update was “delayed indefinitely last week,” and said the update has a low chance of being released this month.

Apparently, this delay is not due to bugs and quality issues but due to the slow rollout of the One UI 6.1.1 update. One UI 6.1.1 debuted with the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Looking at Samsung's track record, the One UI x.1.1, which is usually only released to foldable phones and tablets, should have been released to older foldables and tablets by now. However, due to the new Galaxy AI features, it was reported that the One UI 6.1.1-based update could also be released to older high-end Galaxy S phones.

Due to the reported inclusion of regular slab-style phones in the One UI 6.1.1 update list, Samsung may have been forced to delay the release, and that may have caused Samsung to delay the release of the One UI 7.0 beta update to the Galaxy S24 series.

Despite these delays, Samsung might still be able to release the stable One UI 7.0 update to most eligible phones and tablets before the end of this year.
