Paris 2024 Olympics Live Updates, Day 11: India 0-2 China in men’s team table tennis; Neeraj Chopra in qualifying at 3:20PM; Kishore Jena ends with 80.73m throw in qualification

Thakkar proves a stern test for Chuqin in the first game but the Chinese does just enough to win 11-9.

The Chinese turns the script around after losing the first game. He takes the contest 9-11, 11-7, 11-7, 11-5. China leads 2-0 now.

The next match will be Manav Thakkar vs Wang Chuqin.

Jena ends in the seventh place with a best throw of 80.73m. He will now need other results to go his way to end up in the best 12 throwers.

The Chinese paddler gets the score level by taking the second game 11-7.

Jena fouls on his second try. He is seventh in Group A and has one attempt left to get the 84.0m automatic mark.

A first game win for India in this tie. Sharath trailed 5-6 but comes back to take the opening game 11-9 from the singles gold medal winner.

80.73m for the Indian on his first try. He is fifth at the moment in Group A. 

Germany’s Julian Weber needs just one throw to make the final. He lands the javelin at 87.76m to go through.

11-2, 11-3, 11-7 is the final scoreline as Chuqin and Long complete a comfortable win for China.

The automatic qualifying mark is set at 84m.
