Additionally, a new broadcast channel, @olympics, has been launched on Instagram for updates on the Games. Fans can also follow @olympickhel and @weareteamindia for the latest news on Indian athletes.
On Threads, followers can get official updates by following the account @weareteamindia, which will provide comprehensive coverage of Indian competitors in Paris.
For real-time updates, the IOC has introduced the ‘Olympic Khel’ WhatsApp Channel in India. This channel offers exclusive content, including trivia and behind-the-scenes footage featuring Indian athletes.
Fans can also use a new Olympics-themed sticker pack on WhatsApp to share their excitement. To access these stickers, users need to switch to the WhatsApp sticker tray and tap the ‘+’ icon to explore the official sticker library.
In a bid to generate buzz, Meta has partnered with global creators to amplify the excitement surrounding the Games. Indian creators such as Barkha Singh (@barkhasingh0308) and Karan Sonawane (@focussedindian) will be in Paris creating engaging content for their followers.
Reels featuring collaborations with Paris 2024 flag bearer Sharath Kamal will also be available, showcasing contributions from creators like Shreya Mendiratta, Ishan and Vedant (@dasoham_), and Samaakshi Jha (@littiii_chokha).
