I saw a story headline Jack cancel a Tenacious D concert here in NZ as whole heartily disagreed with his bandmates glib comment at a concert about not missing next time

He's even on record saying he will pardon those who do violence,
The people convicted on violence are good guys, real patriots political prisoners according to Trump - well they will get a full pardon if Trump gets in

Plus it you really cared that's probably 60% of all movies you wouldn't watch given at the actors, directors involved

Quite the opposite. It was his band mate, not Jack Black. Jack Black later cancelled the rest of the tour.

It's not really hard to look at videos of Jack expressing his political beliefs to figure out who he is in that regard. Combine it with his best friend, who has the same political beliefs as Jack, saying "don't miss trump next time" and Jacks response is "thank you" and continues the show...it's probably not hard to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

Of course you could argue that he was just continuing the show like a pro but he could've said something on the spot, which he should have if he truly disagreed and even if he didn't, it's a little early for a stupid comment like what Kyle said therefore Jack should've told him to shut up and apologize. Jack could have played this off waaaay better than he did, especially for a professional actor of his calibre.

Tenacious D simply sucks, its god-awful and regardless of how it got brought to an end, I believe the world is better for it.

I'm not a Jack Black fan,probably put off as some of he characters are too loud and OTT for me ( eg School of Rock - never watched it TBH ) . But from vague references seems to genuinely be a nice bloke in real life , not a Ahole to fans etc.
But you are probably asking too much of someone, yeah maybe he should have had experience to shut if down quicker. But people find it hard to reprimand or put friends on the spot.
I have been taken back by things in my life, where I think next time I will handle it better, Sometimes you only have a small window of opportunity. Though I do stand up for wrongs I see in public more than most.

As an aside putting up people/friends takes a lot of skills and techniques, Telling a drunk 18 year old to drive slower normally means they drive faster if they are a tosser. Even most parents use distraction with upset young children as hard to stop head on
When I was on the road I saw say an english guy with soft skin bear foot in an equatorial country - I would not say you should wear shoes . I used to say you are brave, look at at the locals with guinea worm scars on their feet . felt that had more chance

I commented before - but my first time in The USA 1988 - I was amazed how personal and serious people were about the elections. So easy to see comments like this being said now when 100x more red hot. One side believes it's fight vs good and evil and protecting what's ours and our core beliefs . The other vs tyranny and injustice

I don't mind Jack Black personally, but he should have spoken up sooner than what he did, especially coming from individuals that are anti-gun, but don't skip up a beat to say "don't miss next time" while referring to guns.

The only reason the band was dismissed was because their insurance company dropped these hypocrites like a sack of rocks to control fallout and Jack himself is teetering on the edge of losing his career if he doesn't speak up and do damage control.

I wish him well, mistakes were made, but the man deserves forgiveness as he didn't say the words and it's a wakeup call to have respect for your neighbor, no matter their beliefs/values.

At the end of the day we're all human and violence against another should be condemned.

Nobody cares!!

Not a selling point for me either.
