At the Bloomberg Technology Summit in May 2024, Microsoft’s President for Xbox, Sarah Bond, announced that Microsoft would launch an app distribution platform for Android and iOS in July 2024 where it will offer first-party and third-party games. She added that the brand would launch the store as a website rather than an app.Summarize in one-click with Galaxy AI

Well, with two days to go before the deadline, Microsoft made the webpage for the Xbox Mobile Store live. Unfortunately, it isn’t functional yet. That being said, it strongly suggests that the company could launch the app distribution platform any moment now.

The webpage says “Coming Soon” followed by “Thank you for participating in the Xbox Insiders program. As part of our testing process, you have been placed in a holdback group and currently do not have access to this feature. Your support is invaluable to us, and we ask for your patience as we prepare for the public release. Stay connected with Xbox for further updates.

The story continues after the video…

Initially, Microsoft will offer first-party titles through the Xbox Mobile Store, such as Candy Crush and Minecraft. After that, it will offer third-party games too. However, the brand didn’t provide a timeline on when it would start offering third-party games on it.
