France beats Turkiye 5-4 in the archery men’s team final after a shootoff.

The third seeds Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty qualify for the quarterfinals of the men’s doubles quarterfinal after the French pair of Lucas Corvee and Ronan Labar lost both its opening encounters.

We’re ready for the men’s 10m air rifle final where India’s Arjun Babuta will be in action.

The team of Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto lost 9-21, 11-21 to Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida of Japan. 

This is the second straight loss for the Indian pair which all but ends their contention in Paris 2024.

The Indian pairing of Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh ended the qualification round in 3rd place with a total of 580-20x. It will compete against Korea for the medal on Tuesday.

Ramita with 10.4 on the first shot which helps her open some space. A massive 10.5 on the elimination spot. She is up to 6th now.

Oh no! A 9.7 from Ramita. This sees her drop to the seventh spot. She is in the danger spots now.

A 10.6 next, that’s some consistent shooting from the Indian. She’s closing in on the second place.

A 10.1 sees her drop to sixth place in the final. Still some way to go though.

The team of Rhythm Sangwan and Arjun Singh Cheema gets a total of 194 points in the first set of shots. They sit in the fifth place.

The final of the women’s 10m air rifle will begin at 1PM.

Each member of the side will shoot 30 shots in as many minutes. Teammates can fire independently of their partner. The top four teams will make the medal matches. 1 and 2 play for gold, 3 and 4 will face-off in the bronze medal match.

Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh in mixed 10m air pistol qualification. The second team will be in action too, comprising of Rhythm Sangwan and Arjun Singh Cheema.

The men’s hockey team will play its second group stage match against Argentina. 

The men’s archery team of Dhiraj Bommadevara, Tarundeep Rai and Pravin Jadhav will be in contention for a medal in the evening, with its quarterfinal scheduled for 6:30PM.
