Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Axis Bank(Rs. 3851.10 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 3514.87 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 2060.20 crore), RIL(Rs. 1865.91 crore), IFCI(Rs. 1819.76 crore), MMTC(Rs. 1800.81 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1697.92 crore), L&T(Rs. 1686.45 crore), IDBI Bank(Rs. 1587.69 crore) and ONGC(Rs. 1389.03 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 7.41 points down at 24406.1, while BSE Sensex fell 109.08 points to 80039.8.

In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd.(up 6.16 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 5.09 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 3.83 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 3.56 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 2.87 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Axis Bank Ltd.(down 5.12 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 2.40 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 2.09 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 2.06 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.83 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
