Sabre Corporation, a key provider of software and technology solutions for the international travel sector, in collaboration with Hawaiian Airlines—Hawaii’s premier and most established airline—today revealed that Hawaiian’s NDC offerings are now accessible on the Sabre travel platform, establishing Sabre as the initial GDS to integrate the airline’s NDC content.

This integration provides Sabre-connected agencies and travel buyers—numbering in the hundreds of thousands—enhanced access to Hawaiian’s comprehensive selection of products and promotions through its HA Connect™ NDC content in the Sabre GDS. Agents using the Sabre platform now have the capability to access both Hawaiian’s HA Connect™ and conventional ATPCO/EDIFACT content across 32 markets. Additionally, travel professionals can effortlessly search, book, and manage Hawaiian Airlines’ NDC propositions using Sabre’s Offer and Order APIs, the agency desktop solution Sabre Red 360, and the corporate reservation system, GetThere. Hawaiian Airlines anticipates activating more markets progressively.

“We are pleased to have Sabre and its partners distribute our HA Connect™ content, which broadens access to our unique offers and products and will greatly enhance the booking experience for travelers,” said Brent Overbeek, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer, Hawaiian Airlines.

Sabre continues to cultivate its extensive travel content marketplace, connecting airlines with agencies and corporate clients globally, thereby facilitating an effective distribution of fares and special offers. The Sabre marketplace features travel content from over 400 airlines, more than 2 million accommodation options, and a vast array of tour operators, rail services, car rental companies, and cruise lines.

“By activating NDC through Sabre, travel sellers help maintain their competitive edge by maximizing access to Hawaiian Airlines’ content. We are proud to partner with an airline, like Hawaiian, that is committed to advancing travel retailing with more memorable experiences for travelers,” said Kathy Morgan, Vice President of Product Management, Distribution Experience, Sabre Travel Solutions.

Hawaiian Airlines aims to use NDC to improve the travel experience for passengers via its indirect channels, with plans for expansion through both its direct-connect channels and partnerships such as with Sabre. Already, thousands of agencies connected to Sabre in over 150 countries are utilizing NDC capabilities.
