After the peak season, Efteling will introduce significant enhancements to its renowned Aquanura water show, featuring a new musical composition and an updated lighting design. The addition of four eight-meter ‘Beacons of Light’ encircling the pond will animate the show with thematic lighting and dynamic effects, emphasizing a journey through time. The iconic frogs of Aquanura are set for a transformation to complement the new visual narrative, enhancing the overall allure of the performance. The refreshed Aquanura spectacle will play a central role in the ambiance of Efteling’s main square, soon to be graced by the newly announced Grand Hotel.

In pursuit of its environmental goals, Efteling is making substantial strides towards sustainability. The Aquanura show will phase out its propane-based fire effects in favor of achieving a climate-neutral status by 2030 and aiming for climate positivity by 2032. All traditional show lights are being swapped for energy-efficient LED alternatives. Additionally, since the previous fall, the Anderrijk area, including the Aquanura site, has been integrated into a geothermal heating and cooling system that eliminates the need for natural gas, thereby reducing the park’s gas usage by 20%. This system also keeps the Aquanura pond frost-free during winter using sustainable methods.

Since its inception in 1952, Efteling has welcomed over 130 million guests, evolving into one of the largest and most enchanting theme parks in Europe, nestled in the south of Holland. Known for its distinctive fairytale ambiance amidst lush natural settings and a plethora of exciting attractions, it now ranks among the top 25 theme parks globally as per the Tea Theme Index 2022. Open throughout the year, Efteling offers an excellent getaway for families, featuring accommodations like the Efteling Hotel and the holiday villages of Efteling Bosrijk and Efteling Loonsche Land nearby. Through ongoing expansion, Efteling has emerged as an international attraction, drawing five million visitors annually.

Reaching Efteling from the UK is straightforward. The park is just an hour’s drive from Amsterdam. Visitors can travel by Eurostar to either Rotterdam or Amsterdam, fly into Amsterdam Schiphol or Eindhoven Airport, or drive through the Eurotunnel. Regular train services to the nearby ‘s Hertogenbosch station, coupled with frequent bus routes and taxis, provide convenient access directly to the park.
