The jury’s rigorous task is to evaluate tourism businesses excelling in seven primary categories:

Sheikha Al Anoud is a dynamic businesswoman, seasoned investor, and influential independent board member. She currently chairs TenX Ventures and has a significant background in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) as the former Deputy CEO and Chief Business Officer at the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC).
Ali is a representative of Qatar Museums’ Year of Culture program and a prominent media personality involved in establishing the English-language “37 TV” for Qatar Media Corporation. He has published six books and directed over 400 documentaries.
Azzam is the Chief Executive Officer of Sport Accelerator, a member of Aspire Zone Foundation. He brings over 15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry and six years in the Sport Industry, boasting a robust commercial background.
Marcel joined UN Tourism in 2006 and serves as the Deputy Director of the Technical Cooperation and Silk Road Department. He coordinates the formulation and implementation of tourism projects related to strategy development, marketing, poverty reduction, biodiversity conservation, and capacity building.
Ramzan is an Innovation Expert and Entrepreneur with over 23 years of experience in media, marketing, and branding. He is a certified practitioner in Innovation Management and has founded two companies specializing in design, media production, and innovation.
Prof. Rana is the Dean of the College of Business and Economics at Qatar University and a Professor of Marketing. She has contributed to numerous national and international projects and serves on various advisory boards.
Dr. Abdulla is the CEO of Al Wa’ab City and has held several leadership positions, including CEO of Msheireb Properties and Maintenance Manager of Qatar Fertilizer Company (QAFCO). He has also served as a Consultant to the Minister of Environment and Managing Director of the Private Engineering Office.
The carefully selected panel will evaluate submissions expected to surpass last year’s total of over 300 entries from across the sector. Winners will receive extensive promotion locally, regionally, and internationally to enhance their visibility. The second edition of the Qatar Tourism Awards is slated for 27th October 2024.
The Qatar Tourism Awards is open to all businesses and individuals in the tourism sector. The awards benchmark excellence, showcasing the nation’s top tourism offerings, services, innovations, and outstanding achievers. Winning a Qatar Tourism Award demonstrates excellence, strengthens brand equity, shapes businesses or careers, and garners national and international recognition.
The application process is simple: applicants must answer five questions and provide supporting documents. The application portal launched on June 9, and the deadline for submissions is August 8, 2024.
