Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of Krebs Biochem, VST Industries, Tata Teleservices, MTNL and Cybertech Sys, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 09:58AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 65.3 points to 24735.55 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Nakoda Group Of Ind(PP), Sah Polymers, Keerti Knowledge, Alps Industries and Visagar Polytex, touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 12 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 38 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Infosys, Britannia, LTIMindtree, ITC and HCL Tech were among top gainers, while BPCL, Hindalco, Tata Steel, ONGC and Tech Mahindra traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 121.77 points down at 81221.69 at 09:58AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Fertilisers, Petrochemicals, Irrigation & Allied Services, Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock and Term Lending Institutions sectors, while selling was visible in Metals - Non Ferrous, Metals - Ferrous, Beverages - Alcoholic, Airlines and Gems and Jewellery sectors.
