Reading Time: 2 minutesThis exciting development expands Qantas’ European network to three key destinations.
Qantas’ Direct Flights for a Seamless Journey:
Passengers can now enjoy a convenient and time-saving travel experience.
Following the Olympics, the frequency will transition to three flights per week, ensuring consistent connectivity throughout the year.
Qantas’ Modern Fleet and Record-Breaking Reach:
With a flight time of approximately 17 hours and 20 minutes, this route spans an impressive 8,864 miles, making it the third-longest in Qantas’ network.
Notably, it surpasses existing nonstop routes from Paris, with Perth becoming the farthest nonstop destination served from CDG.
Qantas CEO Vanessa Hudson highlights the growing demand for direct long-haul flights: “In recent years, we’ve seen a significant increase in customers wanting to fly directly on long-haul routes and avoiding stopovers wherever possible.
Our direct flights from Perth to London and Rome have some of the highest customer satisfaction on our international network.”
Qantas’ Strategic Expansion and Project Sunrise Synergy
This Paris route launch comes amidst a series of exciting developments for Qantas.
The airline recently secured European regulatory approval for a vital third center fuel tank on its Airbus A350-1000s, paving the way for Project Sunrise’s record-breaking ultra-long-range flights.
Project Sunrise aims to launch groundbreaking routes like Sydney to London and New York starting in mid-2026.
Perth Airport Poised for Growth:
Furthermore, Qantas and Perth Airport (PER) recently reached a multi-billion-dollar agreement for a new terminal and runway expansion.
This strategic move positions PER as Qantas’ second-largest international gateway after Sydney, catering to the growing demand for international travel from Western Australia.
Perth Airport CEO Jason Waters emphasizes the airport’s record-breaking passenger numbers: “We have added more than 10 million passengers since [fiscal 2021] and in doing so have easily broken a record that has stood for a decade.”
With the launch of the Perth-Paris route, Qantas now offers three nonstop options between Australia and Europe, including daily flights from Perth to London and three times weekly services to Rome.
So, if you’re dreaming of a Parisian adventure, book your Qantas flight from Perth and experience the magic of Europe with ease!
