Manish Sisodia’s Judicial Custody Extended Till July 22 in CBI Case

New Delhi, July 15 (Udaipur Kiran): The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has extended the judicial custody of former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia till July 22 in the Delhi excise scam case. Special Judge Kaveri Baweja ordered the extension. Today, Manish Sisodia’s judicial custody was ending, and he was presented in court. The court also postponed the hearing on the cognizance of the chargesheet filed by the CBI against BRS leader K. Kavitha till July 22.

In this case, the Supreme Court has already granted interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the ED case and regular bail to Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh.

The ED had arrested Manish Sisodia on March 9, 2023, from Tihar Jail after questioning him. Sisodia was first arrested by the CBI on February 26, 2023. The Delhi High Court had rejected Manish Sisodia’s bail plea in both the CBI and ED cases on May 21.
