A wide range of CEOs have condemned Saturday's attack on former President Donald Trump and have called for unity.
Thomas Matthew Crooks allegedly shot Trump, piercing part of his right ear, and killed one other person at a Butler, Pennsylvania, political rally on Saturday. Secret Service agents immediately killed Crooks and found bomb-making materials in his car. The FBI said it believes Crooks acted alone, but there is still absence of a clear ideological motive.
Until this weekend, most executives had been quiet about the presidential election to avoid making themselves political stories. Yet after the assassination attempt, dozens of CEOs reacted on social media to the shooting.
