Kronberg: Connecting with bridges

Kudos to the city of Aspen for pleading $250,000 to further the goal of getting cars out of the entrance to Aspen by supporting the Pitkin County Open Space and Trail request to connect for pedestrians and bikers the Aspen Business Center to Rio Grande Trail with a bridge and also to connect the very popular Brush Creek Park and Ride to the Rio Grande Trail with a bridge.
Hopefully, the Board of Pitkin County Commissioners will understand the value of adding these two bridges to connect downvalley and Snowmass with an alternative route to get to Aspen after their site visit on Monday at 4 p.m.
