Italy's seasonally-adjusted IIP up 0.5% MoM in May

The seasonally-adjusted index of industrial production (IIP) in Italy increased by 0.5 per cent month on month (MoM) in May this year. The calendar-adjusted IIP decreased by 3.3 per cent year on year (YoY) in the month, according to flash estimates by the official statistical agency Istat.

The index measures the monthly evolution of the volume of industrial production, excluding construction.

The change of the average of the last three months with respect to the previous three months was minus 1.6 per cent.

The unadjusted IIP decreased by 3.3 per cent MoM.

The calendar-adjusted growth rate of manufacturing of textiles, apparel, leather and accessories dropped by 7 per cent YoY in May.
