Kenia Os Teleports to a Pink ‘Fantasy’ World With Bestie Villano Antillano on ‘VIP’

Kenia Os is ready to do some puti-vueltas from the VIP section — and ignore calls from an ex. As she premiered her video for the sexy fantasy world-set video for “VIP” alongside Villano Antillano Thursday, the Mexican pop star caught up with Rolling Stone about her album Pink Aura and working with her bestie pop stars, Villana and Bella Poarch, on new music.
“We wanted this to be a fantasy with each of us in our own worlds, feeling like the queens of our own universes,” she tells Rolling Stone. The video opens with Kenia leaving an angry voicemail to one of her exes before embracing her inner goddess as Antillano crashes the party while riding a bright pink train. “VIP, we’re touching the sky/MVP with a new style,” raps Kenia with the help of Villana in Spanish. “I blew up like Spice/Ice, ice, ice, ice.”
Kenia says she “couldn’t believe it” when Villana sent over her part for the song and points to Villana’s outro where she name-drops her: “Es la Villana con K OS, bebé/Miss Kenia OS/Lindas las dos.”
“We already had talked about collaborating but I thought that maybe it wouldn’t be done for Pink Aura. Suddenly, she sent me her recording and I wanted to die. I died!” she says. “When I finally met her personally it was very cute because we had an instant connection and we became friends right away.”
The two met up in person to film the sexy video and Kenia says working with Villana was a joy because “there weren’t egos, it was only two girls recording a video and enjoying themselves.”
“VIP” fits into the aesthetic and theme of Pink Aura as a whole, which captures Kenia embracing her femininity and sexuality in an empowering way. It’s something she has become known for in her music as she’s built a massive queer following for her music after starting as a YouTuber. “They call me ‘mother’ and I feel it!” she says with a laugh. “[The album] is the awakening and healing of feminine energy and using it to your advantage.”
Her single with La Joaqui, “Kitty,” quickly took over TikTok with its catchy one-liner earlier this year: “Ay, me puse cutie puti,” she sings in a sassy voice. reimagining the Spanish word “puta,” which directly translates to “whore.” For Kenia, it’s a reclaiming of the word.
“It is a mood where you’re cute, wearing high heels and a little dress but you’re with your squad, you’re feeling sexy, flirty, and fearless,” she says. “I saw TikTok blowing up with people saying they couldn’t take the song out of their hands, duing the puti-vuelta. I loved it.”
Kenia also features Bella Poarch on her track “F* Off.” Poarch visited Mexico City recently and Kenia says the two had a crazy, fun night while she visited. “First of all, I don’t like tequila but she told me she does so we had so many shots,” recounts Kenia. “Perreamos really hard. I told her that parties ended at 5 a.m. and asked if she was ready… Bella had such a good time.”
“We have very different personalities but we matched so well because she is a little shy and quiet and I’m a lot more like a bomb exploding,” Kenia adds. “Bella likes that I’m like that. We’re like Yin and Yang.”
With female friendships in mind, Kenia is quick to point to Sabrina Carpenter as a dream collaborator. Both stars have embraced a cutesy, corset-and-mini-skirt, pastel aesthetic in their style and have been compared by fans in the past. “I love her music and I feel like we could work on a very cool pop song in English and Spanish… Whatever she wants it!” Kenia says. “She’s part of the new pop wave as I am here in Mexico. We have to manifest this collab.”
Kenia will visit the United States later this year for a short tour in November with stops in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and New York. But she has her eyes set on much more. “I hope to come back with more cities but this year we focused on doing just a couple of shows because we were working on the next album,” Kenia says. “2025 already looks very promising.”
