Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.88% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:54AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.

Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 2.98 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 1.24 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.34 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 0.2 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 0.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 4.32 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 2.0 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 0.53 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.33 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 0.14 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.88 per cent at 1100.15 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 97.0 points at 24412.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 564.48 points at 80461.82.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Indian Renewable, IRFC, YES Bank and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of AMJ Land Holdings, HPL Electric Power, Career Point, Essar Shipping and Railtel Corp hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SecUR Credentials, Praxis Home Retail, JP Associates, Shyam Telecom and GIR Natureview hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
