Bhopal, July 10 (Udaipur Kiran): The ongoing spell of heavy rainfall continues across Madhya Pradesh, driven by an active cyclonic circulation and a trough line. On Tuesday, multiple districts, including Indore, experienced rainfall. An alert has been issued for further rain on Wednesday, with predictions indicating rainfall in the Nimar region and the southern parts of the state. Additionally, a heavy rain alert has been announced for 18 districts, including Dhar and Chhindwara. Meanwhile, light rain is expected in Bhopal and Indore.

Senior Meteorologist Dr. Divya E. Surendran from Bhopal has stated that within the next 24 hours, heavy rainfall is anticipated in districts such as Chhatarpur, Panna, Mandla, Balaghat, Seoni, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Khargone, Barwani, Dhar, Ratlam, Jhabua, Alirajpur, and Barwani. The northern part of MP is currently under the influence of a trough line, with active cyclonic circulation contributing to the ongoing rainfall, which is expected to persist.

On Tuesday, districts such as Mandla, Balaghat, Betul, Dhar, Gwalior, Indore, and Ratlam witnessed rainfall. In contrast, cities like Bhopal experienced sunshine, resulting in an increase in daytime temperatures. In Seoni, Damoh, and Nowgong, temperatures reached up to 37°C. Major cities recorded the following temperatures: Bhopal at 34.3°C, Indore at 33.4°C, Gwalior at 36.6°C, Jabalpur at 34.1°C, and Ujjain at 35°C. Betul recorded the lowest temperature at 28.5°C, while Khargone and Pachmarhi recorded 29.2°C, and Seoni stood at 29.8°C.
