Princess Cruises Teams Up with Pizza Maestro Tony Gemignani for Exclusive Culinary Experience

Princess Cruises has announced an exciting new culinary partnership with Tony Gemignani, the 13-time World Pizza Champion renowned as the world’s greatest pizza maker. Chef Gemignani has created five unique pizzas exclusively for Princess Cruises, each featuring a mouthwatering blend of savory flavors and premium ingredients. Highlights include combinations such as Soppressata sausage with hot honey and Gorgonzola with sweet fig preserve, further cementing Princess Cruises’ reputation for offering the Best Pizza at Sea.

These artisanal, hand-crafted pizzas by Chef Gemignani will debut at Alfredo’s onboard the new Sun Princess. As part of the cruise line’s extensive culinary offerings, plans are in place to roll out these pizzas across the entire fleet this summer. To ensure the pizzas’ authenticity, Princess chefs received specialized training at Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco under Chef Gemignani’s expert guidance.

In celebration of this new collaboration, Princess Cruises will attempt to set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title on July 12 for the Largest Pizza Party at multiple venues. The event will feature freshly baked pizzas prepared by the cruise line’s master chefs, including the new selections from Chef Gemignani.

Chef Tony Gemignani, the most decorated pizzaiolo in American history, is an award-winning chef, restaurateur, master instructor, philanthropist, and author. He founded Slice House by Tony Gemignani and authored acclaimed books like PIZZA, The Pizza Bible, and The Pursuit of Pizza. Born and raised in Northern California, he opened Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco in 2009. The restaurant, known for its diverse styles of pizza—from Classic American to Neapolitan—quickly gained acclaim, with accolades from USA Today and the Travel Channel as one of the best pizzerias in the country.

Additionally, the delicious pizzas will be available at the complimentary Slice locations on the Lido Deck of Princess ships.
