Reading Time: 2 minutesRyanair, Morocco’s leading airline, inaugurated its new base in Tangier today, July 9th, marking a significant milestone since commencing operations there in May 2024. This launch marks Ryanair’s fourth base in Morocco, featuring two aircraft stationed with a $200 million investment, facilitating 25 routes including 13 new connections. These routes link Tangier to eight new European cities and five additional Moroccan destinations for the Summer 2024 season. Ryanair is excited to introduce its renowned ultra-low fares on 11 new domestic routes in Morocco, enhancing local connectivity and driving traffic growth throughout the Kingdom.

This base launch will boost Tangier’s Summer 2024 capacity by 70%, contributing significantly to Ryanair’s robust schedule across 12 Moroccan airports. This initiative aims to accommodate over 5 million passengers, reflecting a 31% growth in travel to, from, and within Morocco.
Ryanair’s investment in Morocco now exceeds $1.4 billion in aircraft, supporting more than 5,000 direct and indirect jobs and fostering economic development across 12 cities, including Rabat, Marrakesh, Fez, Agadir, Tetouan, Essaouira, and Nador.
