'The Umbrella Academy' Season 4 Trailer: Ben and His Tentacles Take Center Stage
Get ready for the end with the Hargreeves fam and more timeline havoc, a Magic Mike moment and sacrifice.
Ben Hargreeves will finally have his moment when The Umbrella Academy returns for its fourth and final season on Aug. 8.
Out of all the siblings, he's the one with a mysterious death that no one -- not the even audience -- seems to know fully about. Netflix's new trailer hints that the series will dive into that backstory and spotlight the Kraken's superpowers and him being "the key" to all the timeline chaos. Strap in, fellow fans.
Things kick off with Viktor talking to Ben on a payphone, warning him that what he's experiencing will only get worse and more importantly, he's on a course that will end the world. With My Chemical Romance's The End as the background tune (a nod to band member Gerard Way, creator of The Umbrella Academy), the trailer locks in on some space-time continuum action and a secret group called The Keepers who promote the idea of a fake reality. They seem dangerous, serious and desperate. Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally join the cast of characters who believe Ben, "the tentacled boy," can crack the code to the timelines.
Justin H. Min as Ben Hargreeves in The Umbrella Academy, season 4.
It's unclear what papa Reginald is up to, but Number Five wants to fix things, Klaus is prepping for tragic events and Luther turns into a silver-clad stripper. After the events at Hotel Oblivion in season 3, the Hargreeves siblings were left without their powers, but it looks like they've gotten their juice back. Viktor powers up through his hands, Luther is bulletproof and Allison's eyes are glowing so maybe her rumor superpower gets a jolt. Along with Diego, Lila, a blue-handed Klaus and Number Five, they all have to work together one more time for the fate of the world.
It's time to make your predictions for the series' final bow. The Umbrella Academy season 4 premieres with all six episodes on Aug. 8 on Netflix.
