Reading Time: 2 minutesMinor Hotels, a prominent hospitality group, has announced the transformation of Peace Resort Samui into NH Collection Samui, introducing Thailand to the esteemed NH Collection brand renowned for its European elegance. Effective from January 1, 2025, the resort will commence operations under its new identity following a comprehensive property enhancement.
Located directly on Bophut Beach along the northern coast of Koh Samui, nestled at the base of a verdant hill, the 122-key property offers a blend of seclusion and convenience. Established in 1977 by the Pupaiboon family, the resort has been independently managed and has gained popularity among Thai and international guests over the decades.
Strategically positioned near the vibrant Fisherman’s Village, known for its array of dining, shopping, and entertainment options, NH Collection Samui also benefits from its proximity to its sister property, Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort, just 0.25 miles away. This close proximity presents opportunities for shared amenities and enhanced guest experiences.
NH Collection Samui caters to a diverse range of travelers, catering from solo vacationers to extended families. The resort offers a variety of accommodations including deluxe rooms, bungalows, and villas, some featuring private swimming pools and direct beach access.
Guests can enjoy dining options that include an all-day-dining restaurant serving local and international dishes with ocean views, a bar offering creative cocktails located between the pool and beach, and the elegant Indigo Lounge in the lobby, perfect for tea and cakes. Seafood and meat enthusiasts can also indulge in a private in-villa BBQ experience.
The resort boasts a wealth of recreational facilities such as a fitness center, water sports center, and dedicated facilities for kids and teens including a cinema, indoor play area, and shaded outdoor playground. For convenience, there’s a well-stocked retail shop, and flexible meeting and event spaces that exemplify NH Collection’s commitment to intuitive service, cutting-edge technology, and distinctive design elements.
“We are thrilled to partner with the esteemed Pupaiboon family to bring the first NH Collection hotel to Thailand as part of the brand’s expansion outside of Europe and Americas,” said Mark O’Sullivan, Vice President of Operations – Bangkok, Samui, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. “Our joint vision for the beloved resort includes potential further development down the line, including stand-alone villas or branded residential units for sale to meet a growing demand for upscale holiday homes and investment properties. I look forward to welcoming guests to this exceptional addition to our collection of resorts in Thailand.”
Samui Airport is conveniently located about a 15-20 minute drive from NH Collection Samui. Nathon Pier, offering connections to Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Phangan, and other sought-after destinations, is just a 25-minute drive away. NH Collection Samui is the fifth property on the island and adds to Minor Hotels’ extensive portfolio of over twenty properties across Thailand.
