I'm looking to build in a small cabinet (in as small as possible microATX case) which can fit regular ATX PSU and mATX motherboard. MiniITX will be too costly.
Few years ago I built in Galax REV-03 (22 liters) and it was pretty compact. If not available, something like AntEsport Crystal X2 White.
40k budget is for cabinet, motherboard, CPU, RAM (32GB) and PSU. Have a GPU 1650S (will put 3070 later)
Special request: Need an eight-core processor (just because I always wanted to have one and never had ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

Almost finalized the cabinet - Antec CX200M. Volume ~ 28 liters (not great, not terrible). Comes with 5 x 120mm fans installed.
Thinking of going on B450 platform. I don't see any benefit of going with B550.

- 40K (can extend a bit if required)
- What is your existing hardware configuration (component name - component brand and model)
- A decade old laptop (i7-4710HQ, 860M)
- Which hardware will you be keeping (component name - component brand and model)
- Monitor - 24" 1080p as of now, will upgrade later.
- SSD - already have, will be using that.

- Usual office work 90% of the times - Word/ PDFs/PowerPoint/Chrome etc. Little gaming over the weekend like Uncharted 4, maybe some PS3 emulation (RPCS3).
- Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them and the reason for your preference/dislike.
- Would like to avoid brands with poor warranty and service.
- If you will be playing games then which type of games will you be playing?
- Single person story driven games - Ghost of Tsushima, Uncharted 4, Witcher 3, etc. Don't require high refresh rate gaming.
- What is your preferred monitor resolution for gaming and normal usage
- I have a 24" 1080p monitor now, thinking of upgrading to 1440p monitor in a while.
