The town of Basalt hosted a day-long music festival dubbed Basalt River Jams on Saturday at Basalt River Park. The action began at noon with a boat parade, followed by a fly rod casting competition.
On top of activities for the kids and numerous food and drink vendors, the music literally took center stage. Wooden Rock, Blankslate, and Cruz Contreras and The Black Lillies were first to perform, with Wildermiss and The Velveteers closing the festival out in the evening.
