TFG (The Foschini Group) has announced that Nomahlubi Simamane will retire from the board effective September 5, 2024, following the conclusion of the company's annual general meeting.

 Simamane, an independent non-executive director, has been a pivotal member of the board for over fifteen years, contributing her expertise to the audit, risk, and social and ethics committees. Her departure marks the end of a significant era of dedicated service, the company said in a media release.

The board and management of TFG extend their sincere appreciation to Simamane for her substantial contributions to the group and her unwavering dedication throughout her tenure.

Michael Lewis, chairman of TFG, said: “Nomahlubi has been a most valued board member for over fifteen years. On behalf of all my board colleagues and the TFG management team, I thank Nomahlubi for her input and camaraderie. We will all miss her and wish her well in all her future endeavours.”
